This is the black/silver version originally released for the TL series. This specific lens though was part of a camera set including the 500 DTL camera (see below), so the line between the TL series and DTL series regarding the lenses is not 100% black and white. Functionally, there is no difference between the two versions of this lens, the differences are only cosmetical.
I haven´t had a chance yet to compare this lens to the other standard lenses available for the TL/DTL series. I will post my findings as soon as I get a chance to do the test.
I tested this lens recently, and the optical quality is superb and already excellent wide open. |
