This lens has the same optical formula as the Super-Takumar 1:4 150 mm (Model II version) except for the multicoating. The optical performance is excellent even at full aperture. The lens comes with a dedicated metal lens hood which also can be used for the Takumar 135 mm 1:3.5 lens.
This lens features open aperture metering with respective Pentax Spotmatic cameras (SP F, ES, ES II). Due to the pair of cams and the extra pin on the rear end of the lens, the Super-Multi-Coated or SMC Takumars can´t be mounted on the Mamiya TL/DTL cameras (they do fit on the Mamiya MSX/DSX series cameras though). |
